Join our award-winning team as a Sous Chef (Events) at Bankside Hotel! Offering a base salary of £48,410.00 + Company Tronc Scheme.

What we Expect From You

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations for all events, from prep to plate.
  • Lead event kitchen teams during service, ensuring timely execution, consistency, and excellence.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation in accordance with health codes and company policies.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to perform at their best especially during high-pressure.
  • Manage inventory, supplier coordination, and cost controls to stay within budget while maintaining quality.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and performance management when the Head Chef is unavailable.
  • Communicate effectively with event planners, service staff, and management to ensure seamless food service across all functions.

We are looking for someone who…

  • Has interest in culinary arts and cooking
  • Has either been working as a Sous Chef already or a CDP who is ready for thier next step
  • Proven commercial or restaurant kitchen experience
  • Pays attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
