Overview
Bankside Decor Limited are looking to hire a Pre-Print Technician to work within their digital wallpaper business.
Responsibilities
- Following a structured workflow and internal processes.
- Creating job layouts for various roll requirements specified by the client (both wall murals and wallpaper).
- Artworking labels, pattern books, samples and promotional materials.
- Pre-flighting customer supplied artwork, correcting any file errors and ensuring that the correct . icc profiles are used.
- Working closely with clients on collection sign-offs.
- Make colour adjustments in order to reach best match between client supplied proofs and final production print.
- Processing and ripping files to various printers within the department.
- Liaising with marketing design, marketing and print departments.
- Creating . icc profiles for new substrates.
- Generating the necessary assets for CGI and Marketing Department materials (brochure work, website images, social media etc.).
- Setting up jobs and adding new products to the company’s Management Information System.
- Troubleshooting technical issues within the department.
Requirements
- Good understanding of digital pre-print processes.
- Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office in an Apple Mac based environment.
- Knowledge of colour theory and experience colour matching.
- Proven experience of artwork creation and manipulation to a high standard.
- Familiar with ONYX and Xeikon X-800 RIPs.
- Excellent organisational skills, meticulous with a good attention to detail.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of AVA would be beneficial.
