Can you identify the right people, build relationships with them and get them excited about being part of an event? We’re looking for someone proactive, confident and commercially minded to help grow the senior banking audience and speaker lineup behind our conferences in the UK, USA and beyond.

Your role will be to identify and engage senior decision-makers across banks, building societies and credit unions, inviting them to speak at, attend and engage with our events. This is not a passive account management role. And it’s not hard sales either. It’s relationship-led outreach. You’ll spend your time speaking with senior leaders across digital, technology, operations, customer, innovation and transformation teams, building long-term relationships and ensuring the right people are in the room. The right institutions. The right conversations. The right energy.

This is a phone-first role for someone who enjoys opening conversations, building momentum and making things happen. You’ll need confidence, initiative and strong follow-through. Because while our banking audience attends free of charge, this role is absolutely about influence, engagement and relationship-building.

What This Actually Is

This is a hands-on audience growth and relationship management role inside a fast-growing international events business. You’ll work closely with our conference production, sales and marketing teams to identify the banks, building societies and credit unions we want represented across our events. You’ll then proactively engage those organisations through calls, outreach, relationship-building and ongoing account management. You’ll help secure senior speakers for our stages and ensure strong attendance from the organisations we most want involved. This role is about creating genuine engagement around the events, not simply filling seats.

  • Inviting a senior banking executive to speak on stage
  • Building relationships with digital and transformation leaders year-round
  • Encouraging teams from banks and financial institutions to attend together
  • Following up consistently with senior contacts to maintain momentum
  • Helping shape roundtables, dinners, networking experiences and hosted meetings
  • Ensuring the right mix of institutions and seniority are represented in the audience
  • Working strategically against target account lists across different regions and event brands
  • Identifying new organisations and individuals we should be building relationships with

This is a highly proactive role for someone who naturally picks up the phone, follows through and enjoys building professional relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Build relationships with senior leaders across banks, building societies and credit unions
  • Invite and secure senior speakers for conferences, virtual events and roundtables
  • Grow attendance from key financial institutions across the UK, USA and Asia
  • Work closely with marketing and conference production teams on audience targeting strategies
  • Help ensure audience quality, relevance and seniority align with event goals
  • Manage outreach across phone, LinkedIn, email and direct relationship-building
  • Identify new organisations and individuals we should engage with
  • Support networking initiatives around dinners, golf days, hosted meetings and VIP experiences
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with key banking contacts throughout the year
  • Help create an environment where attendees feel part of a genuine professional community, not just another conference

What Success Looks Like

  • Senior banking leaders actively want to participate in our events
  • Key financial institutions are consistently represented in the audience
  • Speaker quality and seniority continue to improve
  • Relationships extend beyond a single event cycle
  • Outreach feels proactive, personal and relationship-led
  • Attendees bring colleagues and recommend the events internally
  • The audience quality becomes a major reason sponsors continue to support the events
  • The business develops stronger engagement with the banking community year-round

Who You Are

You may currently work in:

  • delegate sales
  • audience acquisition
  • sponsorship sales
  • conference production
  • business development
  • account management
  • speaker acquisition
  • or relationship-led B2B events roles

Most importantly, you’re proactive. You’re comfortable speaking with senior people. You enjoy building relationships and creating momentum. You’re confident on the phone and know how to open conversations professionally. You’re organised, persistent and commercially aware. You understand that great events are built through strong relationships and consistent follow-up. You’re someone who naturally takes ownership and likes making things happen rather than waiting for instructions. Experience within B2B events or financial services is highly desirable. Experience working with banks, fintechs, building societies or credit unions would be a major advantage.

Location & Working Pattern

This role is fully remote, with travel to our events in the UK and US and occasional team gatherings. Because our audience spans the UK and US, you will need to be comfortable working flexibly across time zones, including some early mornings or evenings to align with US contacts. We are happy to flex working hours around that, not on top of it.

Compensation

OTE £40,000 – £65,000 depending on experience, made up of a competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus tied to confirmed speakers, audience targets and event outcomes. Strong upside for high performers. If you are the right fit, we will make it work.
