I’m exclusively partnered with a high-growth fintech who are seeking a VAT Assistant Manager to join its expanding tax function. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping VAT compliance and processes within a fast-paced, technology-driven business operating across multiple jurisdictions.

Reporting into the Director of Tax, you will support indirect tax compliance and partner with stakeholders across tax, finance, data, and the wider business to ensure robust and scalable tax processes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation and review of indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions, working with large datasets to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of VAT processes as the business scales, adapting to new products, markets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Take a lead role in maintaining and improving tax-related system configurations, partnering with finance and tech teams to ensure data integrity and effective reporting cycles.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and play a key role in delivering tax inputs for month-end, year-end, and audit processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for VAT-related queries across the business, helping to develop internal guidance and promote consistent application of tax principles.
  • Work cross-functionally to strengthen tax awareness, support process improvements, and contribute to wider finance and transformation initiatives.
