We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a well-established in-house tax team on a maternity cover basis. This role will play a key part in managing corporate tax compliance across a large group structure, while supporting wider tax advisory activity and mentoring junior team members.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal and Treasury, you will ensure accurate, timely delivery of tax returns, provisions and forecasts, while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and project manage corporate tax and REIT compliance obligations across a portfolio of group entities
- Prepare and review corporation tax computations, returns, forecasts and payment processes
- Review entity-level and consolidated financial statements, including tax disclosures
- Oversee group-wide compliance areas such as group relief, CIR, REIT reporting and SAO-related risk areas
- Manage capital allowances and transfer pricing matters, including liaison with external advisors
- Support compliance across other taxes where required (e.g. VAT, CIS, SDLT, ATED, RPDT)
- Act as a key interface between tax, finance and wider business teams
- Provide technical input on ad hoc tax matters and support the development of the wider tax team
You will be operating at Manager level in either practice or industry, with strong experience in UK corporation tax compliance within a large corporate environment.
You will bring:
- A professional tax qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience managing a substantial corporate tax portfolio
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax
- Experience using third-party tax software (Alphatax preferred)
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, self-starting approach with strong attention to detail
