JOB ROLE

To lead the end-to-end delivery of a new mobile and web-based business banking channel, including the implementation of Temenos Digital integrated with the existing Finacle core banking platform.

The postholder will be accountable for the integrated delivery plan and critical path, project budget, relationships with software vendors and the systems integrator, regulatory and customer-outcome assurance, phased customer rollout, and transition to business-as-usual support.

This is a fixed-term contract role for an initial period of 12 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivery & Planning
  • Own and maintain the integrated delivery plan across Temenos, Group IT, Finacle, the systems integrator, and internal workstreams, actively managing the critical path.
  • Identify and proactively manage external dependencies that cannot be escalated, including Apple App Store and Google Play review cycles, ensuring appropriate contingency is built into the critical path.
  • Establish clear stage gates and defined entry and exit criteria covering design, build, integration testing, SIT, UAT, security testing, pilot, phased rollout, full release, and hypercare.
  • Own the RAID log, ensuring risks are quantified, actively managed, and escalated appropriately rather than simply recorded.
  • Take overall ownership of the end-to-end integration between Temenos Digital and Finacle.
  • Define integration test coverage collaboratively with both vendors, establishing clear ownership for defect triage and agreed resolution service levels.
  • Vendor, Systems Integrator & Commercial Management
  • Act as the principal delivery counterpart to Temenos, Group IT, and the systems integrator.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for contracted deliverables, acceptance criteria, service credits, and change-control processes.
  • Challenge scope creep and ensure any additional requirements or changes are appropriately assessed and commercially agreed.
  • Maintain a robust evidence base to support the organisation's position in any commercial disputes relating to integration defects or ownership.
  • Commission, manage, and close out application penetration testing and source-code reviews against defined remediation standards.
  • Governance & Reporting
  • Manage project budgets and resources, including monthly forecasting and reporting of actual expenditure, accruals, committed spend, and forecast-to-complete.
  • Prepare and present Steering Committee packs and Management Committee/Board updates, including key risks, issues, and adverse developments.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and auditable project record capable of withstanding internal audit and regulatory or supervisory review.
  • Ensure the implementation meets Consumer Duty obligations, with particular focus on consumer understanding and support across application journeys, data accuracy and currency, customer communications, and the retirement of the existing channel.
  • Ensure compliance with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements and UK GDPR, including completion of a Data Protection Impact Assessment and appropriate governance and handling of device data.
