Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management framework, policies, and risk appetite statement.
- Oversee and challenge credit, market, operational, liquidity risks, and ensure compliance with risk appetite.
- Review credit proposals and assess portfolio risk, recommending exposure limits.
- Manage operational risk, including incident analysis, risk registers, and control self-assessment.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, report changes, and manage climate-related financial risks.
- Lead the development of compliance policies, anti-money laundering (AML), KYC, sanctions, and fraud procedures.
- Handle financial crime reporting, monitoring, and fraud oversight.
- Implement and manage risk culture within the bank, provide training, and collaborate with other departments for risk mitigation.
- Oversee compliance with the Senior Managers Regime (FCA, PRA) and ensure adherence to UK regulations.
- Lead and manage the risk and compliance team, ensuring effective reporting, performance reviews, and training development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Risk Management in Financial Services.
- In-depth knowledge of UK risk management regulations and financial crime prevention.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinker with analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Degree/Diploma and relevant qualifications in Risk Management.
- Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks and experience managing key stakeholders.
