Main Responsibility

Oversee branch operations and manage personal bankers’ operational duties. Act as the primary branch leader in the absence of the Area Branch Manager, who focuses more on business development. Report directly to the Area Branch Manager with a dotted line to Head Retail Operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure branch operational excellence with Area Branch Manager.
  • Manage operational performance of Personal Bankers/Cashiers.
  • Hold joint custody of cash, valuables, security forms, and lockers; single custody of loan documents.
  • Manage branch keys and alarm codes as second emergency contact.
  • Supervise and authorize cash transactions, ensuring AML/KYC compliance.
  • Enter security form inventory into the system.
  • Authorize debits to constituent and office accounts (within limits).
  • Oversee bills collection, delivery orders, postage, and stationery.
  • Verify and sign Demand Drafts as primary verifier.
  • Check and authorize inward clearing transactions and account reconciliations.
  • Monitor returns, payments, and charges.
  • Assist with branch administration, staff punctuality, and customer service.
  • Supervise branch routine and allocate work in emergencies.
  • Manage account opening/closing and loan accounts (appraisal, supervision, documentation).
  • Calculate drawing power and assist with loan applications/renewals.
  • Ensure KYC compliance and maintain loan-related registers.
  • Open/close office premises daily and ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Uphold data security and record retention policies.
  • Cover for Clerk-Cashier/Branch Manager as needed.
  • Support branch audits, reviews, and general tasks (fax, email, data processing).
