We are looking for a motivated and experiencedPharmacy Assistantto join our dynamic dispensary team atRoyal London Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care in one of the UK’s leading NHS Trusts.
About the Role
As aBand 3 Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient supply of medicines across the hospital. You’ll be involved in labelling and dispensing medications, managing stock, supporting ward top-up services, and assisting with medicines management initiatives.
You will work closely with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate medication supply to patients.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months paid NHS experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
- Experience using JAC/CMM systems for labelling and dispensing
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS check (including barred lists)

Key Responsibilities
- Dispense and label medicines accurately
- Support ward-based medicines management and top-up services
- Monitor expiry dates and manage short-dated stock
- Assist with Controlled Drug dispensing and record keeping
- Participating in weekend and late duty rotas
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement
