About the Role

As a Band 7 MSK Physiotherapist, you will:

  • Provide advanced assessment and treatment for acute, sub-acute, and chronic MSK conditions, including chronic pain and rheumatology.
  • Manage your own caseload autonomously, with access to support from senior colleagues.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, students, and therapy assistants.
  • Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and audit initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, GPs, pain psychologists, and nurses.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 6 months paid NHS experience.
  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in MSK outpatient, orthopaedic, or rheumatology settings.
  • Evidence of CPD and experience in chronic pain management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical reasoning skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Experience in First Contact Practitioner (FCP) settings.
  • Experience in hand therapy and working within a chronic pain team.
