About the Role
As a Band 7 MSK Physiotherapist, you will:
- Provide advanced assessment and treatment for acute, sub-acute, and chronic MSK conditions, including chronic pain and rheumatology.
- Manage your own caseload autonomously, with access to support from senior colleagues.
- Supervise and support junior staff, students, and therapy assistants.
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and audit initiatives.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, GPs, pain psychologists, and nurses.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 6 months paid NHS experience.
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in MSK outpatient, orthopaedic, or rheumatology settings.
- Evidence of CPD and experience in chronic pain management.
- Strong communication, leadership, and clinical reasoning skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Experience in First Contact Practitioner (FCP) settings.
- Experience in hand therapy and working within a chronic pain team.
