Whittington Health Trust are seeking experienced and committed Band 5 Emergency Department Staff Nurse to join the Whittington Staff Bank.

Whittington NHS Trust provide hospital and community care services to 500,000 people, follow a mission to educate and further the careers of their medical staff, and support a fantastic team of 4,400 specialist staff. Whittington prides themselves on maintaining a professional and highly personable approach to all their patients, even within their very busy A&E department.

The post holder will be responsible for providing direct patient care to enhance the wellbeing of patients attending the Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre by developing specific competencies relating to Emergency Care. The post holder will be expected to uphold the Chief Nursing Officer’s 6C’s of Nursing and support the Trust ICARE values.

Requirements

  • NMC Registration
  • At least 6 months NHS and A&E experience in the last 3 years
  • Robust clinical knowledge, strong initiative, and an ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Honesty and integrity, and a caring patient-centered approach
