Whittington NHS Trust, with their outstanding reputation in safe, personal, coordinated care for their local community, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nurse to join their committed Integrated Community Ageing Team (ICAT). Known for being one of the safest hospitals in England, Whittington Health provide expert care for more than 500,000 local people and are valued by their local community.

The hospital’s ICAT are a consultant‑led multidisciplinary team specialising in Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments (CGA), offering support to elderly patients within the hospital and across the community in their own homes. The hospital consistently provides a caring approach to elderly patients, determining a frail older person’s medical conditions, mental health, functional capacity, and social circumstances, in order for the dedicated clinical team to formulate a clear plan for rehabilitation and support for long‑term treatment.

This is a superb opportunity for a qualified nurse to really hone their skills in geriatric care and challenge themselves to reach their upmost potential. This role is ideal for a candidate with robust clinical knowledge who puts a caring, empathic patient approach at the forefront of everything they do, and who is seeking to learn from some of the UK’s leading specialist healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
  • NMC Registration
  • At least 6 months NHS experience in the last 3 years
  • Experience caring for elderly patients
  • Strong clinical knowledge, good initiative, and a proactive approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Honesty and integrity, and a caring patient‑centred approach
