North Middlesex University Hospital, one of London’s busiest acute hospitals, is seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join their committed and fast-paced team.


North Middlesex University Hospital is a major district general hospital in Edmonton, London. Established from origins dating back to an 1842 workhouse, the site evolved through military hospital service in World War I to become a cornerstone of community healthcare, recently merging into the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.


The Role:


The candidate will participate in delivering the echo service with the cardiology department at North Middlesex university hospital. The individual must hold a BSE TTE level 2 accreditation or equivalent and has relevant NHS experience in cardiac physiology field. The individual will work alongside the team of 7 other echocardiographers and with the wider cardiac physiology team to perform transthoracic echocardiograms as well as assist with stress and transoesophageal echocardiograms. As a teaching hospital and a BSE accredited department the successful candidate will be expected to support our trainee echocardiographers to achieve their BSE accreditation. The echo service is open from 8am to 6pm on weekdays and also provides inpatient/outpatient weekend service. The individual will be expected to participate in this comprehensive service whilst a flexible working pattern can be supported.
