University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) are searching for a motivated and passionate Band 6 Recovery Nurse to join their highly skilled team. UCLH is one of the most complex NHS trusts in the UK, serving a large and diverse population. We provide academically led acute and specialist services, to people from the local area, from throughout the United Kingdom and overseas.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitoring vital signs
- Assessing consciousness and airway
- Pain management
- Managing nausea and vomiting
- Preventing complications
- Wound care
- Medication administration
- Patient education
- Discharge planning
- Emotional support
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Registered Nurse
- NMC Registration
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong initiative and commitment, with a 'can do' attitude to work
- A patient-centred approach to work
- A minimum of 6 months experience working as a Recovery Nurse within the NHS in the last 3 years
