North Middlesex University Hospital (North Mid) are searching for an experienced and passionate Band 5 and 6 Anaesthetics Nurse to join their highly skilled and enthusiastic theatres team. North Middlesex provides both hospital and community care, helping to keep people in the best possible health at every stage in their lives. The North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is a medium-sized acute and community trust with over 525 beds and over 600 community staff, serving more than 600,000 people living across Enfield and Haringey and the surrounding areas, including Barnet and Waltham Forest.
As an Anaesthetic Nurse, duties will include:
- Pre-operative patient preparation, such as performing assessments and explaining the procedure.
- Preparing medications and equipment.
- Administering and monitoring anaesthetics before, during, and after surgery.
- Monitoring patient vital signs throughout the process.
- Managing pain and post-operative recovery.
- Documenting care.
You will collaborate with the healthcare team, including anaesthetists and surgeons, to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current NMC registration.
- At least 6 months experience in the relevant role, at the NHS, within the last 3 years.
- Anaesthetic Practitioners with relevant postgraduate training in anaesthesia.
- Confident in supporting and preparing a wide range of anaesthetic equipment and medications.
