Overview
University College London Hospitals (UCLH) are on the lookout for a committed and qualified Neonatal Nurse to join their highly skilled and specialist Neonatal Unit.
UCLH NHS Foundation Trust are committed to delivering top-quality patient care, providing excellent education to their staff, and undertaking world-class research. Over 6,000 babies are born each year at their Elizabeth Garrett Anderson (EGA) Neonatal Unit, and the department provides exceptional care with the latest technology for women and their babies in the areas of gynaecology, maternity, and neonatal care. As the only Level 3 neonatal unit in the area, the department includes a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) which provides the highest levels of intensive care to acutely ill and preterm babies and has strong established surgical links with Great Ormond Street Hospital.
This is a superb opportunity for a qualified neonatal nurse to learn and develop, support junior nurses, and work alongside some of the most expert neonatal clinicians in the country. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across the Intensive Care, Special Care, and Transitional Care areas of the unit, meaning the chance to optimise one’s own skills and experience are endless.
Important Requirements
- NMC Registered and experience working in Neonatal Unit
- At least 6 months NHS experience in that last 3 years
- Robust clinical knowledge, strong initiative, and a proactive approach to work
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Honesty and integrity, and a caring patient-centred approach
