UCLH, situated in the West End of London, is one of the largest NHS trusts in the United Kingdom and provides first class acute and specialist services both locally and to patients from throughout the UK and abroad. The new state‑of‑the‑art University College Hospital which opened in 2005, is the focal point of the Trust alongside six cutting‑edge specialist hospitals. UCLH was one of the first trusts to gain foundation status.
The Role: As a receptionist you will be part of an efficient and high quality Reception Team, ensuring that all patients and visitors are dealt with in a polite and courteous manner. The role is of extreme importance as the Reception team are generally the first point of contact for enquiries & queries. Excellent communication and customer care skills are essential.
Requirements:
- Educated to a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- 3 years experience working as a Receptionist
- Excellent customer care skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to prioritise own workload
- Able to work under own initiative within boundaries of role
- Able to work under pressure
- Very Smart in appearance
- Polite and courteous manner
- Able to work as part of a team or individually
- Flexible approach to work patterns and working unsociable hours (shifts 08:00 – 16:30pm or 11:30-20:00pm)
- Reliable work record
- Demonstrates a passion for emergency medicine such as conference attendance / relevant audits or related specialties.
