This is an exciting opportunity to be an Ambassador for Bank of Ireland both internally and externally within the local community, ensuring that our customers are put at the heart of everything we do. You will be responsible for the development of valuable new customer relationships. This will involve extensive networking and attendance at external events and developing/maintaining the Bank’s relationship with intermediaries and business partners. This role will be based in Newry Business Centre and cover the Central South of province. In this role you will: Ensure lending proposals are effectively structured and proactively led ensuring maximisation of portfolio opportunities and acquisition of new business customers Maintain a culture of excellence with regard to SME and property lending – structuring deals, risk analysis, supervising and improving opportunities In conjunction with the Senior Business Manager, deliver annual business targets for the team, in line with pricing policy & credit policy directive Develop, improve and maintain MI and monitoring tools to assist in the ongoing management of portfolios and ensure this is accurate / kept updated at all times Ensure completion of high quality credit applications and ensure acceptable credit/ compliance standards met at all times. Lead and maintain the lending portfolio within acceptable credit/ compliance standards, as judged by successful Group Credit Review and Audit Review ratings. What will make you stand out? Proven ability to manage a portfolio of complex, high value SME and Property customers with borrowings in excess of £1m Proven ability to develop new business and fund complex, high value lending transactions Proven experience in credit management, regulatory and operational risk and consistent track record in maintaining high standards in these areas across a portfolio of complex, high value SME and Property customers Ability to find opportunities and engage with customers, building mutually beneficial relationships, identifying short and long term business opportunities, with proven success in developing increased market share. Evidence of a collaborative approach in working with other front line teams and key partners in the achievement of business strategic objectives Strong eye for business, achieving results safely and growing the Bank’s markets share and profile in a positive manner and demonstrating broad commercial knowledge. Solid understanding of the NI business market and a wide network of personal contacts within the regional business Essential Qualifications There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.
