This is an 8-month fixed term contract in the Talent Acquisition team (Experienced Hires), part of the People Strategy & Insights function (PS&I) within the Bank’s People Directorate. The Talent Acquisition Team (Experienced Hires) are responsible for the Bank’s candidate and hiring manager experience – identifying, attracting and hiring great talent through our internal mobility (internal appointments, redeployment) and external hiring strategies working closely with hiring managers to understand their business, skills and workforce needs.
The opportunity
This is a great opportunity to lead and co‑ordinate a wide variety of recruitment/ Talent Acquisition related projects focusing on supporting hiring managers and improving our recruitment processes. This role will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager and the Talent Acquisition Partners.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead internal mobility activity, including the administration, to deliver a smooth, supportive and compliant experience for colleagues in the redeployee pool. Handling situations sensitively and with care.
- Lead recruitment-related projects together with the support & guidance of the Talent Acquisition Manager, supporting hiring improvements and a better experience for managers and colleagues.
- Ability to use judgment and initiative when working in a team and working independently, thinking creatively to develop solutions to difficult or complex problems.
- Keeping the Talent Acquisition Manager updated on project progress and emerging risks or issues.
- Managing key competing priorities effectively in a fast‑paced environment, with strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Spot and develop opportunities to improve processes, and contribute to practical ideas and solutions for efficiencies. This includes reducing complexity and providing simplification.
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates and data when needed.
- Manage the day‑to‑day relationship with the Bank’s contractor supplier, ensuring agreed standards are met.

- Experience of delivering recruitment, talent or HR work, with clear examples of responsibilities and outcomes achieved.
- Demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing work effectively, delivering multiple projects or outcomes to agreed deadlines.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support delivery of shared objectives.
- Demonstrable ability to work effectively through others, using influencing skills to secure delivery of agreed actions and outcomes.
Essential criteria
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with evidence of communicating clearly and effectively with different audiences.
- Proven ability to apply sound judgement and escalation appropriately with suggested actions.
- Experience of working within internal policies and processes, while handling sensitive matters discreetly and consistently.
- A recognised project management qualification or can evidence strong project management experience.

Salary and Benefits Information
We encourage flexible working. London salary circa: £51,440 - £57,870 (depending on skills and experience) Leeds salary circa: £46,320 - £52,110 (depending on skills and experience). In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
- Currently a non‑contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year. The Bank has the discretion to vary standard accrual rates and dial up and dial down rates at any time and to withdraw dial up and dial down options at any time.
- A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
- An 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
- 26 days’ annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
- Private medical insurance and income protection.
