As a directorate of the PRA, Supervisory Risk Specialists (SRS) provides technical expertise across risk areas to identify, analyse and mitigate material risks to the safety and soundness of PRA regulated firms. SRS comprises five divisions: Credit, Risk, Analytics, Liquidity and Capital (CRACL), Investment Banking and Sector Risks (IBSR), Model Development and Review (MDRD), Operational Risk & Resilience (ORRD), and Sector Resilience Division (SRD).

The Sector Resilience Division has four teams: the Sector Resilience Team (SRT), International Engagement Team (IET), Cyber & Operational Resilience Stress Testing (CORST) team, and the Cyber Resilience Team (CRT). This role sits within the International Engagement Team, supporting CORST and CRT. The teams’ mission is to work with key partners, both domestically and internationally, to strengthen the operational resilience of the UK financial system for UK financial stability.

We are seeking a PA to support two Senior Managers and their teams, working alongside the Head of Division PAs and another Team Secretary. This is an exciting position with a varied and interesting workload, providing opportunities to display your own initiative. It will suit someone who is ambitious, curious, and able to co-ordinate numerous tasks, as the role comes with a wide range of responsibilities and will enable you to learn about cyber and operational resilience and the finance sector.

The Senior Managers have busy diaries which require effective management. You will be asked to:

  • Arrange internal and external meetings and events
  • Prepare papers for meetings
  • Prepare speaking notes for conferences
  • Compile management information and reporting
  • Arrange domestic and international travel
  • Complete travel expenses
  • Help with Joiner/Mover/Leaver management within the teams
  • Assist with the team’s intranet pages
  • Assist with recruitment
  • Act as a point of contact for the teams

The jobholder will also form part of a wider team supporting the Directorate, comprising five divisions and circa 150 staff. You will have the opportunity to help cover across the support team to gain experience and knowledge of other areas.

Role requirements:

  • Providing PA and administrative support to senior managers and their teams
  • Diary and email inbox management, including liaising with internal and external contacts and collating papers for upcoming meetings
  • Arranging meetings with external visitors, including diary management and booking meeting rooms and catering where needed
  • Arranging events, including liaising with the teams to agree agendas and preparing speaking notes and PowerPoint decks
  • Planning and arranging domestic and international travel, and processing expenses
  • Managing secure information using defined processes and liaising with specialist teams as needed
  • Compiling management information and reporting, and inputting into divisional processes
  • Assisting with the administration side of recruitment
  • Collaborating with the Division’s Admin Team to provide wider administrative support
  • Establishing and maintaining close links with stakeholders across the PRA and Bank of England
  • Dealing with any ad-hoc requests within the Directorate or wider Bank

Minimum Criteria:

  • Experienced in providing administrative support in a professional context
  • Experienced in organising meetings or events
  • Good computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Able to deal with highly confidential information to agreed standards of handling and personal integrity

Salary and Benefits Information:

Salary is circa £23,360 - £26,000. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

National Security Vetting Process:

Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process and the passing of additional Bank security checks.
