b Overview /b p As Assurance Manager (Tech) you will lead test automation efforts within the Technology Directorate, ensuring robust automated testing across multi-system environments. You will guide a team of engineers, shape test strategies, and collaborate with developers, architects and product teams to reduce defects and improve delivery quality. The role offers impact through security-focused, scalable automation and close alignment with the Banks mission of stability. You will work in a hybrid setup with a strong emphasis on practical automation and leadership. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li non-contributory pension with flexible accrual /li li 8% benefits allowance /li li 26 days’ annual leave (+ up to 12 extra via benefits) /li li private medical insurance /li li income protection /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead and manage a team of 8–10 test automation engineers /li li Design, implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and scenarios /li li Execute functional, system, system integration, end-to-end, API, and UI testing /li li Collaborate with developers, architects and product teams to resolve defects /li li Contribute to test strategies and process improvements /li li Identify automation bottlenecks and performance issues; drive improvements /li li Refactor and enhance automated test scripts in coordination with engineers /li li Support recruitment and mentoring within the team /li li Engage in security-focused testing within automated delivery /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li 8–10 years hands-on test automation experience /li li Strong hands-on experience with Karate framework /li li Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks /li li Proficiency in functional, system, API, and UI testing /li li Ability to analyse test results, identify defects and propose improvements /li li Proven leadership or management of a team of 8–10 engineers /li li Experience with API testing tools: SOAP UI, Postman /li li Knowledge of middleware/messaging technologies: Kafka, IBM MQ, ACE /li li Familiarity with scripting languages: Python, JavaScript /li li Experience with security testing tools: SonarQube, Fortify, Twistlock, Xray /li li Understanding of security testing in automated delivery /li li Ability to collaborate with senior management, developers and product teams /li li Experience with performance and/or test strategy contributions /li li Recruitment support capability in line with leadership /li li Desirable awareness of Eggplant Functional, JMeter/LoadRunner, Control-M /li li Broad knowledge of software architecture and related technologies (web services, SOA, Unix/Linux) /li /ul ul li strong communication /li li coaching and mentoring /li li collaboration across cross-functional teams /li li Karate /li li SoapUI /li li Postman /li /ul
