Responsibilities

  • Handle the end‑to‑end processing and settlement of trade finance transactions, including Letters of Credit (issuance, advising, amendments, negotiation, and settlement), Guarantees, and related trade products.
  • Perform document checking against transaction terms and applicable international trade rules (including UCP, ISBP, URC, and related standards), and liaise with customers / counterparties on discrepancies, amendments, and transaction follow‑up.
  • Process trade financing and operational banking transactions, including forfaiting, bill discounting, invoice financing, inward / outward remittances, and treasury‑related settlement activities where applicable.
  • Prepare, verify, and authorize SWIFT messages, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform sanctions screening, AML checks, compliance reviews, and operational risk controls for trade and payment transactions, escalating exceptions where necessary.
  • Monitor outstanding / overdue transactions, perform reconciliation and exception handling, maintain proper transaction records, and prepare management / regulatory reports as required.
  • Support system enhancement initiatives, UAT testing, process improvement projects, etc.
  • Any other duties assigned by HOD and Management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant banking operations experience, with strong exposure to trade finance.
  • Good working knowledge of Documentary Credits, Collections, Guarantees, SWIFT operations.
  • Familiarity with UCP600, ISBP, URC, AML / sanctions requirements, and operational risk management practices.
  • Meticulous, organized with strong communication skills; proficiency in Chinese would be an advantage for liaising with Chinese‑speaking clients / counterparties.
