Reporting to: Head of Risk Control & Monitoring
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and enhancing risk management policies, procedures, risk indicators, risk limits and approval authorities to ensure compliance with MAS regulations and Head Office requirements.
- Support the implementation and improvement of the Bank’s risk monitoring and control framework, covering credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk.
- Perform credit reviews of loan and money market applications to assess obligors’ financial standing and repayment capability.
- Provide administrative and secretariat support to the Credit Committee, including preparation of meeting minutes and ensuring proper documentation and filing of credit-related documents.
- Conduct risk monitoring activities, including daily market risk monitoring, tracking of liquidity risk indicators, portfolio reviews and stress testing exercises.
- Prepare and maintain periodic risk reports, data analysis and monitoring reports.
- Support risk management activities within assigned areas or portfolios.
- Liaise with Head Office, business units and support departments to facilitate risk management processes.
- Assist in ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements analysis will be an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA or CPA will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, VBA or data analysis tools is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin to review documents and communicate with Head Office and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
