The Internal Audit department as a third line of defence (3LoD) is responsible for providing an independent, objective assurance and advisory service to add value and improve the Bank’s operations. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for supporting audits, investigations, and reviews in accordance with the established methodology. This is a full-time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with performing audit assignments in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This will include a variety of tasks across the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of an audit.
- Audit work may include supporting investigations, special reviews, and ad-hoc tasks.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the control environment through continuous monitoring and assist in conducting risk assessments and contributing to the annual audit plan.
- Complete audit work papers timely in accordance with the department’s standards and assist in finalising the audit report.
- Validating closure of management action plans.
- Assisting the department in carrying out any other relevant work.
Requirements
- Degree educated ideally in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA) is preferred.
- Experience of working in Internal Audit, assurance reviews, or relevant risk control management in the Financial Services industry, ideally in Banking.
- Proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing high-quality deliverables according to defined timelines.
- Knowledge of Retail and Corporate Banking products and services, and associated risks and controls.
- Data analytics skills would be an advantage.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work proactively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A team player who is able to build relationships with stakeholders.
