Job Description:
Transaction Banking department is responsible for the product ownership of Corporate and Financial institution client’s Trade Finance, Commodity Finance, Cash Management, E-banking product as well as Corporate client’s Account, Payment, Deposit, overdraft services. As an Assistant Vice President – Trade Finance (FI & Secondary Market), you will be responsible for driving the growth of Trade Finance related business, including forfaiting, risk participation and Financial Institutions (FI) trade loan activities with a focus on increasing profitability and portfolio balance. You will also be responsible in overseeing the marketing, development and volume expansion of FI and Secondary Market-related Trade Finance products. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the sales and promotion of secondary forfaiting, risk participation, and FI trade loan businesses, delivering high-quality service to FI clients
- Focus on enhancing customer satisfaction, expanding trade loan portfolios, and achieving KPI targets
- Organise and participate in FI marketing activities and industry events
- Oversee the daily management and execution of the above products, including developing and maintaining relationships with corresponding banks
- Facilitate business offers, acceptance processes, and negotiations for Master Risk Participation (MRPA) and trade loan agreements
- Conduct transaction due diligence, review risk mitigation measures, and ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements on corresponding banks
- Process and check documents and agreement of forfeiting and risk participation transactions
- Prepare statistical and regulatory reports when required
- Liaise with other relationship managers in structuring and applying FI credit proposals for Head Office approval
- Assist with developing new business and expanding country risk proposals and onboarding new FI clients
- Collaborate with the Risk Management department to monitor country risk exposure and streamline transaction processing
- Lead innovation and development initiatives for FI-related Trade Finance products
- Continuously review and update product policies and procedures in alignment with Head Office and local regulatory guidelines
- Assist relationship managers in carrying out post-lending management for Trade Finance related business
Requirements
- Degree educated in Banking, Finance or other equivalent
- Solid experience in the FI Trade Finance business in Banking sector
- In-depth technical knowledge of the secondary market and products, including forfeiting and risk participation, and trade loan to financial institutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK Financial Services Regulatory Framework including PRA Rulebook/FCA Handbook including relevant sourcebooks
- Solid marketing and sales skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
