Clearing & Payments department supports the bank in a back office capacity, supporting the bank's operational processing for various banking products, working with the retail branches and Front office teams to support London Branch and Subsidiary customers. As a Clearing Middle Office Data Analyst β Mandarin Speaking, you will assist in timely processing of Daily Nostro Reconciliations and Vostro Account Management alongside other critical back office processes. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate within the Clearing Middle Office (CMO) team to ensure accurate processing of all CMO activities to high standards ensuring all clearing and payment work complies with the Bank's guidelines and policy.
- Support with monitoring the payment system, Vostro account management and handling, Nostro reconciliation, MI, EMIR reconciliation, system user management, fixed assets management, relevant system testing and implementation.
- Assist with SWIFT RMA management including tasks such as adding, deleting, and editing with related testing.
- Gather and analyse data accurately from structured and grand data base to raise business requirements for new functions and new systems.
- Oversee department mailbox, facilitate document circulation, and ensure efficient processing of documents/events related to the department while providing administrative support as needed.
- Assist in report preparation for other departments and Head Office.
- Generate periodic works reports for the team and department.
- Investigate and resolve daily operational issues.
- Support with reviewing policies and procedures on a regular basis.
- Uphold high customer satisfaction standards.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Assist in ensuring the relevant activities meet the Bank's internal policies, procedures and other regulatory and mandatory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree educated, preferably in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or other relevant subjects.
- Experience in data processing, reporting and visualization (Power BI, Tableau) with the mainstream Database Management System, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL and MySQL.
- Experience in process automation solutions is preferable.
- Good understanding of financial products, services and risk management process is preferable.
- Advanced MS Office skills in particular in the use of Excel and Word.
- Good SQL skills.
- Knowledge of SWIFT payment message format including ISO20022 is preferable.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
