Operations Services department provides processing support for the front line business units handling trade finance, loan and cash management products. The department also includes the Operations Resilience and Operation Control teams which are responsible for overseeing the Bank\’s resilience programme and managing user rights for certain systems. The Cash Management team are responsible for the account and payment services for London Branch. As an Assistant – Cash Management, you will be responsible to support with payment services to corporate customers of Corporate Banking department, Financial Institutions department, EMEA Syndications Centre and Commodity Business Centre. This is a full time permanent role. Key responsibilities Process Internet Banking/Zap/SWIFT direct payments for corporate customers Verify signatures on payment instructions and confirm sufficient funds in accounts Settle bank charges incurred by payments through SWIFT and Internal BGL transfer Assess fund receipts and payments using GUPP, SWIFTMS and WBIFN system Process account opening and ongoing account maintenance Liaise with Global Financial Markets on funds requirements and advise clearing section of funds movements in timely manner; Assist with systems upgrade testing Maintain accurate diary for all payments and fixed term deposits Respond to internal and external enquiries in timely manner Liaise with Legal and Financial Crime and Compliance departments as well as customers to resolve any AML-related issues Cover other colleagues when required Assist with any ad-hoc tasks when required Requirements Degree educated preferably in Finance, Business or Accounting Proven track record in similar business stream Experience within the Financial Services industry is preferable Good knowledge of Banking industry and processes is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Team player Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Able to multi-task Having a presence in the UK for more than 90 years, Bank of China London Branch has been providing an excellent financial service to the market and maintain its competitive edge as an international bank operated in the UK.
