The team:
The Investment Banking division is organised across industry, country, and product coverage teams. Industry teams include Consumer and Retail; Natural Resources & Energy Transition; Financial Institutions; Financial Sponsors; Healthcare; Global Industries Group; Real Estate, Gaming and Leisure; and Technology, Media and Telecoms. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) represents the key investment banking product team. Country coverage teams cover all regions in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and are partially or fully based in regional offices. Coverage teams work together across the Investment Banking division to provide solutions to our clients on a range of strategic topics covering corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets advice.
Our Summer Analyst programme is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience of what it is like to work as a full time Investment Banking Analyst. During the summer you will have the opportunity to work with some of our industry, country, and product coverage teams.
Training and Development
Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.
Responsibilities:
As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Work on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product and country coverage groups providing you with a unique learning opportunity
- Help the team deliver solutions to clients by leveraging the full spectrum of the bank's capabilities
- Actively contribute to the preparation of client presentations and underlying financial analysis
- Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career opportunities
- Actively participate in executing transactions, including work with clients as well as representatives of other investment banks and other advisors
Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between June 2027 and July 2028. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation. Please note that we reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date before extending an offer.
Must be available to join the programme from June 2027 to August 2027. On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent). Candidates who perform well during the internship may be offered full time employment to commence in July 2028; some lines of business may also offer the opportunity of a January or April start date. You must be available to join on one of these start dates if offered, unfortunately we are unable to offer deferrals.
What we are looking for:
Fluency in English is essential for all roles. You will need to demonstrate drive, innovation, and a genuine interest in the financial markets. Teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, plus creativity are key qualities, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and interact with a variety of people. Display analytical and problem-solving skills. Influence decisions and outcomes through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate integrity and ethics by earning others' trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions. For some roles within specific regions (e.g. CEE), a knowledge of those regions is required.
