Role
Description: We're looking for intellectually curious individuals who enjoy combining data, technology, and market insight to solve complex client challenges.
Working at the intersection of electronic trading, market structure, data science, and client strategy, you'll partner directly with clients, traders and product teams to analyse and optimise trading outcomes, develop innovative execution solutions, conduct original market microstructure research, and generate insights that influence both client behaviour and product development.
This is a highly visible role combining quantitative analysis, client engagement and thought leadership, offering the opportunity to shape how clients navigate increasingly complex global markets.,
- Analyse trading performance across multiple benchmarks and flows, identifying opportunities to improve execution quality and reduce transaction costs.
- Partner with clients through regular reviews and strategic consultations to understand trading objectives, evaluate outcomes and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Design, test and present bespoke execution and algorithmic trading solutions based on rigorous analysis of client flow and market behaviour.
- Conduct market microstructure and execution research to better understand liquidity dynamics, price formation, venue behaviour and trading costs.
- Generate high-impact insights on trading activity, market structure developments and regulatory changes, delivering these through client meetings, publications and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with traders, quants, technologists and product teams to develop new analytics, methodologies and trading capabilities.
- Enhance the team's analytics platform, leveraging large-scale datasets to create innovative tools, visualisations and client solutions.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong programming experience in one or more of Python, kdb+/q, SQL or R.
- Excellent analytical and statistical skills, with a passion for extracting insights from large and complex datasets.
- Strong curiosity about financial markets, trading behaviour and market structure.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating across trading, sales and technology teams., Knowledge of electronic trading, execution algorithms, transaction cost analysis, market structure or one or more financial asset classes.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
- Exposure to machine learning, predictive analytics or advanced statistical techniques.
- Fluency in one or more European languages.
