Start date: 1 April 2027 Programme duration: 18 months Your team As part of the Western Markets & Switzerland/Chief of Staff you will join and become part of the Business Management United Kingdom & Guernsey Team based in St. Perter Port. The Business Management team plays a key role supporting the Private Banking teams through project management, financial analysis, risk and strategy deep dives. The team is responsible for supporting the Head of Business Support and Head of Change in the design and execution of business strategy, assume project management roles for strategic and tactical business initiatives, liaise with Relationship Managers on local and global business requirements, and deliver management information to support key business decisions and supervisory routines. Members of the team must succeed in working across all support functions to enable the Private Banking teams to deliver exemplary client experience and meet it’s regulatory obligations.

YOUR CHALLENGE

What will you work on?

As a Graduate Business Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Market Area and Front Office, working closely with Relationship Managers, Business Management teams, and senior stakeholders across the bank. You will:

  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Market Area Heads, and Front Management to support the execution of business strategy and key initiatives
  • Deliver management information, dashboards, and data-driven insights to support decision-making, financial transparency, and supervisory activities
  • Support the tracking and analysis of Market Area financial performance against strategic and financial plans
  • Coordinate and contribute to business change, transformation, and strategic projects across areas such as client experience, regulation, process optimisation, technology, and revenue generation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to deliver business objectives and ensure effective governance
  • Assist with risk management activities, ensuring key deadlines and regulatory requirements are met
  • Support communications initiatives, including management presentations, strategy papers, town halls, newsletters, and executive reporting
  • Provide project management and coordination support for local and global business initiatives
  • Assist Relationship Managers in leveraging key business tools, reporting capabilities, and performance management frameworks
  • Develop a broad understanding of how different functions, teams, and regions work together to deliver the bank's strategic objectives and client outcomes

Your profile

  • Master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences (graduation max. 36 months ago)
  • Initial practical experience in banking or financial industry helps (i.e. summer internship or internship)
  • Self-motivated with ability to work well independently and also as part of a team, open to share knowledge and support colleagues
  • Independent mindset, coupled with resilience and the willingness to take responsibility
  • Ensuring everything we do puts the client at the forefront
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to function well with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Capability of building effective working relationships to enable effective delegation and proper separation of responsibilities
  • Ability to solve complex problems to deliver pragmatic and effective solutions for the business
  • Embraces change and works hard to align quickly to changing situations and environment, acting as an enabler even when changes do not align with personal views
  • Eligibility to work in the Guernsey
