The UK Product Management and Development Team is responsible for the product development and ongoing management of the Julius Baer International (JBI) products and services offering. This role reports into the UK Head of Product Management and Development and sits within a collaborative and dynamic team focused on shaping and delivering a differentiated offering for JBI clients. The offering range includes, though not limited to, Portfolio Management, Advisory Services, Wealth Planning, Markets solutions (structured products), Alternatives, Credit and our Managed Portfolio Service (MPS).

The UK Product Manager will work across the full product lifecycle, covering all phases of the development cycle from idea generation, build and launch, through to overseeing post-launch distribution support to the Front Office, to ensure that existing products are fit for purpose and remain relevant in terms of target market and client outcomes. This role will also lead the support for the Product Approval Committee (PAC), Lifecycle Management Panel (LCM) and Product Review Panel (PRP), ensuring an opportunity for the candidate to develop core skills of delivering high quality and considered proposals, presentations and data analysis.

All functions of the role will enable the candidate to work closely with stakeholders across the business including product specialists, second line counterparts in Risk, Compliance and Legal and senior leadership, to gain a thorough understanding of client needs, development and product governance.

    YOUR CHALLENGE
  • You will drive and implement the local offering through engagement with all key stakeholders including the Head of Products and Services, Product Owners, Heads of Relationship Management, Relationship Managers, Legal and Compliance colleagues.
  • You will ensure that new products are delivered in compliance with Julius Baer Risk, Compliance and FCA requirements and in line with the UK product governance framework and regulatory expectations.
  • You will act as the first port of call for offering related enquiries from Relationship Managers, liaising with Head Office and local Product Owners, Legal and Compliance colleagues to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
  • You will provide support in the running of the PAC, LCM and PRP, ensuring accurate documentation and auditability of the governance process.
  • You will be responsible for product governance action logs, working with action owners across the business to craft solutions and ensure closure of actions in an adequate timeframe.
  • You will engage in Change Management projects that impact upon Products and Services as needed.
    YOUR PROFILE
  • You are a go-getter, enjoy problem solving and are comfortable with ambiguity.
  • You have excellent project management, planning and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • You are willing to take responsibility and ‘go the extra mile’ in working towards defined goals and timelines and have the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • You are confident in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and form trusting relationships.
  • You have a strong interest or knowledge of investment products and services and a desire to learn.
  • You have excellent analytical skills that can be applied to product reviews.
  • You can balance the needs of operating within the regulatory and legal framework with the commercial realities of the organisation.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant role preferable.
  • Experience in Product Governance within Wealth Management or Private Banking preferable.
  • The CISI Investment Advice Diploma is preferred, though not compulsory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
