We are scaling our AI and automation capability at Bank ABC in London and are looking for a Data Engineer to build the data foundations that power automation, analytics and AI-driven solutions across the bank. This is a hands-on role delivering real impact, working across business and technology teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable and ready for AI and automation use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain data pipelines connecting core banking systems and enterprise platforms
  • Prepare and transform data for analytics, dashboards and AI-driven workflows
  • Implement strong data quality, governance and security controls
  • Partner with Developers, SMEs and central IT/Data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in data engineering / BI / data-focused roles ideally within Financial Services
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python and building ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience integrating data from databases, APIs and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure/AWS)
  • A practical, delivery-focused mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills
