Job Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Accounts Payable team within a fast‑paced, exciting media business. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time while building strong relationships through professional and friendly communication with suppliers. Working as part of a busy, collaborative team, you’ll gain valuable hands‑on finance experience, managing a high volume of invoices and developing skills that will set you up for a successful career in finance.
Duties:
- Daily posting and allocations of invoices to the PMI accounts system
- Weekly BACS runs
- Fortnightly creditor account reconciliations
- Review and clean‑up of the creditor ledgers with the Payables Manager
- Post down fortnightly bank reconciliation items
Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic Excel and IT skills
- Experience using the Finance system PMI is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create working relationships at all levels
- Ability to cope in a busy work environment
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Proactive with enthusiasm to learn
- Reliable and hard working
