Role: REGIONAL SERIES EDITOR - BIRMINGHAM Dates: Late September/early October for 6 months (with a view to extend)

Minimum 3 days per week in Birmingham, with some London travel (expenses paid for London travel) Banijay UK is looking for a REGIONAL SERIES EDITOR to lead post-production across a Birmingham based, studio competition format.

This is a regional commission, so for this role we would like to hear from people with a permanent base outside the M25.

The ideal candidate will have significant senior-level experience in post-production leadership, on large-scale entertainment or factual entertainment formats.

We are open to hearing from anyone who is Series Edit Producer level and ready to step up / people of Exec level who are used to leading multiple edits.

This is a pivotal senior leadership role combining creative editorial judgement, operational oversight and exceptional people leadership, to ensure all edits are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest creative and technical standards.

A key part of the role will involve working closely with studio teams during filming periods, embedding within production workflows, understanding processes and ensuring effective communication between production, edit and final post teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all post-production workflows across multiple series.
  • Monitor schedules, budgets and resource allocation across multiple edits simultaneously.
  • Drive storytelling, tone, pace and creative quality throughout the edit process.
  • Provide clear editorial direction and actionable notes to editors and edit producers.
  • Ensure all editorial, legal and broadcaster notes are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute ideas for creative development, editorial evolution and future series challenges.
  • Ensure any issues or concerns are managed up to Executive Editor and Senior Leadership Team speedily.
  • Ensure scripts and content is fact checked and compliant.
