Job Purpose
Assisting the Content Operations Director: Acquisitions with managing incoming broadcast material across finished tape and formats for designated territories/genres and providing elements, as needed, to all other departments within BR and Banijay Group.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Content Operations Director: Acquisitions with incoming delivery of master materials & support assets for new productions, archive formats and other general production archive as required.
- Liaising with Producers and Postproduction teams about Banijay Rights’ technical specifications for content delivery.
- Overseeing the journey of incoming assets through appropriate QC checks to final archiving in company MAM system.
- Managing receipt of title support assets and storing appropriately in internal systems.
- Managing receipt of accurate descriptive metadata and inputting to internal systems.
- Managing receipt of Key Art, EPKs, Trailers and other publicity elements with close monitoring of embargo dates.
- Onward distribution of these assets around the Group as needed.
- Managing the flow of content to the website and other intercompany sites.
- Tracking TX dates and working with the Rights team to publish screening assets on Banijay Rights website 24 hours after premiere TX.
- Process formal delivery acceptance workflows, in turn triggering Finance department’s workflows.
- Lending support to restoration and upgrade projects, including music clearance edits.
- Preparing material for return to Producers when distribution rights terminate, including deletion of material from internal systems and updating of inventory records.
- Market and Festival support, gathering required AV content and publicity materials.
- Preparation of pre-TX links to screening episodes for approved clients and dubbing companies.
- Other duties as assigned.
GENERAL DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying requirements, managing expectations and dealing promptly with queries, escalating problems in a timely manner.
- Assisting with general departmental duties.
- In addition to the above, you may be required to perform other duties that fall outside your job title or key duties.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- A good eye for detail, excellent communication, and proven problem-solving skills, with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
- An understanding of international broadcast industry standards, current postproduction techniques, and delivery requirements for non-linear platforms.
- Experience using MAM systems, and an understanding of the background workflows and processes involved.
- Diplomatic, customer focused, and results orientated.
- Flexible and the ability to adapt to different demands.
- Good interpersonal skills, good team player.
- Must be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel and be able to effectively manage own workload.
- Additional European languages would be advantageous.
