About this role

An exciting opportunity to manage the social channels for key kids’ programmes for a global leader in the production and distribution of children and family content.

Reporting to the Global Head of Digital (and working closely and collaboratively with the Brand and Marketing team), the role is focused on devising strategy, implementation, and operations for all assigned social media channels, requiring an individual who can proactively develop relationships with our external partners and company stakeholders across production, distribution, brand, and licensing.

You will manage all social media platforms – responsible for promotional marketing campaigns that engage target audiences across our new and existing brands; implement various strategies on catalogue titles to help drive revenue via platforms; and manage our various corporate channels to reflect our values, drive reputation, and attract the best industry talent to work with us.

You will also assist in the ideation and creation of assets, utilising internal and external resources, in addition to your own skills, to effectively execute the social media strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations for all assigned channels.
  • Work collaboratively with our inhouse Brand & Marketing team to plan and execute innovative social media campaigns for our key kids and family IPs and series to support overall brand and marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Manage communities across our key IPs and brands – market and promote our series in tandem with our broadcasters globally, maintaining audiences, and creating momentum to subsequent series. Working closely with broadcaster social teams and individual platforms to maximise campaign objectives, at the same time engaging talent and utilising influencers where possible.
  • Collaborate with the inhouse Licensing team and their licensees to promote products and experiences, ensuring that all posts are aligned to wider digital strategy.
  • Contribute social strategy to overall brand planning, help to create brand experience, and develop audience through delivering compelling content and writing engaging copy.
  • Maintain IP and brand social channels by monetising social media content where applicable and support the on-demand exploitation strategy by driving traffic to relevant platforms.
  • Proactively identify and explore opportunities for brand exploitation.
  • Upkeep of CMS health by resolving any copyright claims, appeals, asset ownership disputes and conducting claims and takedowns of relevant UGC across social platforms.
  • Write copy relating to the videos programmed for the channels to either appear on the site or for use in promotion elsewhere. Devise and deploy optimal written metadata including titles, artwork, description, tags and reviewing policies
  • Lead on implementing the brand strategy for corporate social accounts across our production and distribution entities, working closely with Brand & Marketing and
  • Corporate Comms, ensuring that you support and deliver on our business objectives.
  • Creation of image and video content assets.
  • Working with various internal and external teams to facilitate timely delivery of high- quality and engaging social media assets, in-line with branding and optimised to relevant platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and ability to write insightful evaluation campaigns, using insights to inform campaign planning and brand development, and report to various production companies and departments.
  • Responsible for completing material and availability rights checks using in-house system and liaising with internal personnel.
  • Generate maximum impact and reach from organic campaigns, while being able to advise on paid social media strategies where relevant.
  • Confidently update other departments on all the latest information and trends from across digital platforms.

Knowledge & Skills

  • A proactive nature and good interpersonal skills, with 3+ years’ experience of implementing successful social media campaigns across key platforms.
  • Experience within a TV company is highly beneficial, but relevant social media experience at an entertainment company, creative agency, or corresponding company will be considered.
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop essential, while knowledge of After Effects, Illustrator and Motion Graphics is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring consistency when it comes to representing brand identity.
  • Expertly manage multiple projects at any one time, with excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Bi-lingual (ideally French) desired but not essential.
  • A passion for children’s live action and animated television, with a strong understanding of content that engages children and parents.
