An exciting opportunity to work on Digital Content Rights for key kids programmes for a global leader in the production and distribution of children and family content. Reporting to the Global Head of Digital, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Digital Content Protection Officer to join our team. The Digital Content Protection Officer will be responsible for:
- Administering Content ID systems, managing Content Management Systems (CMS), and implementing effective digital content protection practices.
- Administration of Content ID systems, ensuring the health of CMS by resolving reference overlaps, potential copyright claims, and asset ownership disputes.
- Handling CMS for YouTube and Facebook (Rights Manager), managing conflicts between Banijay Rights and third parties.
- Utilizing knowledge of social media platforms (YouTube, Dailymotion, Facebook, TikTok) to address copyright infringement issues and intellectual property reports.
- Implementing Content ID and automatic content claiming processes, including ingesting reference files via asset management platforms.
- Navigating asset management platforms to manage reference file ingestion for content protection of new and existing titles.
- Setting geo-blocking policies to ensure correct claiming, blocking, and monetization of content according to licensing agreements.
- Collaborating with legal teams to handle DMCA takedowns across non-permitted VOD platforms and applying correct policies across self-published VOD platforms.
- Liaising with third-party clients, broadcasters, and licensees to discuss digital content protection processes and resolve copyright infringement conflicts.
- Addressing client queries related to copyright infringement and content claiming territory conflicts.
- Monitoring weekly launch schedules and broadcasting titles to ensure timely delivery for automatic content protection workflows.
- Coordinating digital content protection efforts and implementing Content ID practices for the entire catalogue.
- Resolving copyright and trademark conflicts in collaboration with the Legal department.
- Overseeing projects to implement efficient Content ID practices for new titles and creating reports and documentation to track back catalogue titles with relevant metadata and rights information.
Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of rights databases (EasyTrack), social media platforms, CMS, and asset management systems (Blue Lucy Asset Management). Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. Strong understanding of copyright laws, intellectual property rights, and digital content protection practices. Proficiency in Content Management Systems such as YouTube and Facebook (Rights Manager) and their content protection products. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. Another language is preferred but not required.
Contract type Full time, fixed-term 12-month contract.
