About this role
We are looking for a Senior Producer, Global Content Development to join our Creative Networks team.
Reporting to the Chief Content Officer, Development, this role will be assigned specific territories, and the successful candidate will take responsibility for the implementation of the department’s development and creative strategy.
Global Content Development is focused on strengthening, consolidating, and boosting Banijay Unscripted pipeline.
Location
This is a global opportunity with no location-based restrictions, provided candidates are fluent in English.
Duties
- Build relationships with key creatives, maintaining regular contact with labels
- Strategically spot gaps and opportunities across the local development slates
- Provide non-qualitative knowledge and intel on global market trends to inform slates
- Robustly interrogate the international potential of new formats
- Fast-track projects with international travelling potential - utilising the Creative Fund
- Support creation of New IP from initial concept to pilot and series launch
- Ensure flow of information across producers (including new ideas and paper formats)
- Produce New IP events including Creative Exchanges, Development Summits and Masterclasses
- Facilitate cross-territory and regional collaborations
- Create bespoke events for producers to collaborate locally and globally
- Devise and spearhead specific development initiatives
- Work with CN Formats to develop and implement international roll-out strategies for all new formats prior to launch
- Collaborate with CN Marketing & Events to create innovative ideas for global markets, and to support in the creation and delivery of new format materials
- Encourage producers to actively engage with Banijay’s global content database (CORE)
- Manage New IP slate, sharing information in a variety of guises for reporting purposes
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with other central functions (including Banijay Rights, Central Legal, Finance, Research, and the Scripted Team)
Essential Experience & Skills
- Highly creative with an ability to initiate and develop ideas
- Proven track record in getting shows commissioned
- Experience in interrogating the international potential of new formats
- Strong experience in development and production
- Clear understanding of international and streamer markets
- Great communicator, with the ability to network and build strong relationships easily
- Maintains excellent confidentiality and discretion
- A good eye for detail, proven problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder. Knowledge of other editing software is advantageous
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint (or Keynote) and cloud-based file management system
Preferred Experience & Certifications
- Commissioning or acquisition experience is desirable
- Additional European languages would be advantageous
