About this role
We are looking for a Group Communications Manager to join our Communications team.
Reporting to the Director of Group Communications, the Group Communications Manager’s hybrid role will span the group’s branded entertainment, digital and AI, live event and experience activities. In addition, the successful candidate will set and deliver the strategy for the business’ corporate social media accounts.
Organised and confident, with impeccable writing skills, a strong measure of the entertainment market, and at ease with planning and delivering external and internal comms, and social media campaigns, this hybrid communications role will span the group’s branded entertainment, digital and AI, live event and experience activities. In addition, the successful candidate will set and deliver the strategy for the business’ corporate social media accounts.
Applicants must be able to illustrate effective communication skills, with the view to being part of a small, entrepreneurial and productive team of seven, and a partner to communicators around the globe – both inside and at times, outside the business, to ensure strategic alignment and an unrivalled standing for the group at-large.
Calm and collected in approach, with a robust contact base across the content, live event, branded and digital trade media space, as well as ideally, the global national media landscape, they will be well-versed in media relations, have an awareness of best practice in crisis comms and be unphased in senior stakeholder relations. A creative approach is also vital given the team’s entrepreneurial aptitude in continuing to innovate and devise new initiatives and business solutions that support Banijay Entertainment and Banijay Live’s overarching strategy and ambitions.
Duties
- Take a proactive approach in identifying and delivering a cross-section of media opportunities for the business areas within remit (branded entertainment, live, digital and AI) – spanning trade, consumer and business/finance media – that serve to amplify and protect Banijay Entertainment’s activities and worldwide reputation.
- With the Chief Communications Officer, act as a key liaison point for unit leaders over remit business areas, collaborating to ideate and deliver dedicated annual strategies.
- Draft press releases, opinion pieces, statements and broad PR collateral for global media campaigns.
- Set strategy, plot monthly/weekly activity planners and have oversight of day-to-day social media schedules across all corporate comms platforms, managing the Co-Ordinator’s workload in this space.
- Keep abreast of wider industry news and trends to inform own comms approach and ideas, while also sharing learnings with wider comms team.
- Participate in the moulding of Banijay Entertainment and Banijay Live’s multi-disciplinary global comms strategy.
- Take ownership of preparing briefing materials for all senior stakeholders in remit in partnership with the Chief Communications Officer.
- Deliver internal newsletters for Banijay Branded Entertainment division, and work collaboratively on newsletters for the group, Banijay Live and Banijay Digital and Innovation
- Work in partnership with fellow Senior Communications Manager in organising and delivering events for business areas under oversight.
- Support efforts in raising awareness for and driving participation in global employee resource groups – Pride, Elle, Green, parenting and wider D&I conversation with our core supporting pillars – Embrace, Disability, Well.
- Be risk adverse in ideating new initiatives and approaches that could positively leverage and amplify the Banijay Entertainment and Banijay Live brands in their remit, and their respective sub-labels in terms of strategy across all platforms.
- Play a key role in devising and executing dedicated strategies around key markets and milestones like MIPCOM, Web Summit, SXSW London, and events in the live event, branded entertainment and digital spaces.
- Maintain and expand on journalist relationships to foster a positive position of trust.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns through metrics, feedback and analytics reports, and be proactive in thinking of ways to improve strategies and activations year-on-year in keeping with the group’s entrepreneurial and pioneering DNA.

- Expertise in establishing and delivering against project-based strategies

Chief Communications Officer.

Permanent, full-time.
Hours
Monday-Friday – 9:30am – 6pm.
Hybrid working (3 days per week in the office).
