Join London\’s leading and most prestigious Security company as a Fire and Security Installations Engineer. Steeped in history, innovation and excellence, Banham is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and dedicated Fire and Security installation engineer to join our established engineering team.
This is a field engineering role involving installing and commissioning a variety of security systems in both residential and commercial properties. Most of the work is carried out within the South of England and Maintenance and Service repair work may be requested if required.
The role requires a strong understanding of security systems, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team alongside a commitment to delivering superior customer service.

What are your Key strengths ?
- Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing intruder alarm systems.
- Have some knowledge of broader electronic security systems: CCTV, entry and access control systems and fire alarms.
- Experience in the wider product range would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
What does your usual day look like?
- Installation: Install devices & control equipment, running cable and containment, programming, working with full suite of products and communication devices, using electric tools, laptop and working at height.
- Repair, upgrade and maintain security systems to ensure optimum functionality and identify any potential vulnerabilities or issues to be resolved.
- Testing: Perform thorough testing of installed systems to verify functionality.
- Demonstration & training: Provide training and guidance to customers on the proper use and maintenance of the system.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance inspections, repairs and upgrades performed, completing engineer paperwork, handover certificates, checklists, and job reports within the required timescales.
Role Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an security installations engineer.
- Basic IT knowledge, e.g. software installation into Windows Operating Systems, IP based systems and networking principles.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Self-motivated with a positive and proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Must have a flexible attitude towards working hours and changing working requirements
- Pass an enhanced DBS to facilitate working in Schools. and sites that support vulnerable people.
