We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support on a Part Time basis for a 6mth FTC. This role will act as a support to the Purchase team and be a key contact for internal department heads and the AR team, to ensure the day to day actions are completed accurately and effectively, resolving any AR issues that may arise.

What can you bring to Banham?

  • Experience of implementing new processes to improve the overall AP process and have a desire to improve an evolving AP process.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant/transferable AP experience gained in a commercial office environment.
  • An independent, flexible, hands on and collaborative approach to work.
  • Knowledge of Sage X3 would be ideal but not essential.
  • Good attention to detail.

What will you be doing?

  • Act as key point of contact with internal department heads, liaising on regular basis to address emerging supplier issues.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger, ensuring all supplier invoices have been entered and reconciled at the end of each month.
  • Review and pay creditors within agreed payment terms.
  • Manage supplier queries and expectations.
  • Managing and processing weekly payment runs.
  • Processing invoices and taking a “hands-on” approach to team management.
  • Overseeing PO process and work with the business to resolve issues.
  • Recommending changes to improve the AP process (e.g. AP automation packages, identifying supplier relationships that need improving in order to negotiate purchasing position, setting up supplier portals etc.)

NB - This is a 6mth FTC for a Part Time Role (2.5 days per week Mon - Fri).
