Are you a dynamic Administration and Compliance Officer with a passion for supporting learners and assisting with general day-to-day administration within an Academy setting? Do you have a passion for working within education establishments and young learners? This is a key role within our Academy supporting with the general operation of the training academy.

The Banham Academy is part of the Banham Group and has been formed to meet the training and development needs of its own employees as well as a growing number of external employers seeking high-quality apprenticeships in the Fire and Security Systems sector. We are directly funded by the ESFA for the delivery of apprenticeships. Please note, this is not an apprenticeship.

What can you bring to Banham?

  • We're looking for a self-starter with a desire to both learn and develop whilst working to high standards.
  • You'll need to have strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records in a highly regulated academic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must if you want to succeed in supporting learners, employers, internal teams and provide clear advice/ guidance in line with our Academy standards.
  • A high level of attention to detail is essential for data input, compliance, and GDPR adherence, alongside confident IT skills for working with databases and digital systems.
  • The ability to work proactively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities is key, as is a sound understanding of safeguarding, quality, and apprenticeship compliance requirements.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide operational support to the Deputy Head of the Academy
  • Answer general enquiries & assist with the smooth running of the training academy
  • Provide initial advice and guidance to all learners - we are Matrix accredited
  • Assist with occasional exam bookings/small group invigilation
  • Ensure learner targets are met and learners remain on track to achieve their FESS Level 3 qualification
  • Prepare and complete learner progress reviews with learners/employers
  • Input data for ILR database on PICs
  • Maintain accurate and timely manual and electronic records in line with GDPR
  • Stay up to date with mandatory staff training (safeguarding/GDPR etc.)
  • Maintain stock levels of training materials/stationery
  • Co-ordinate maintenance of training equipment (e.g. photocopiers, telephones, laptops, computers) and liaise internally/externally if repairs required
  • Undertake ad-hoc admin tasks (e.g. correspondence to learners/employers, photocopying, printing, file creation/updates, incoming/outgoing post)
  • Assist with apprenticeship recruitment at careers events
