We are looking to recruit a permanent, full time Nursery Nurse, to join the team at Tir Na Nog.
The main responsibilities of the Nursery Nurse role will include:
- To contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the day care centre.
- To give support to other personnel within the day care centre.
- To implement the daily routine appropriate to the room within which they are located in the Nursery, for example the baby room.
Candidates should be qualified to level 2 in children’s care, learning and development, and be willing to work towards level 3. Previous experience in a childcare setting and a positive approach to their continued professional development (CPD) is essential.
Candidates will also be expected to have an awareness and some understanding of the importance of health and safety and food hygiene in the workplace.
This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.
The ability to speak Welsh confidently to carry out certain tasks is essential for this post (e.g speaking to staff and students, answering phone calls, dealing with urgent enquiries in Welsh).
