As a People Operations Associate, you will support the People Operations team across the UK, ensuring smooth HR processes, payroll, benefits administration, recruitment support, employee initiatives, and facilities management.

Responsibilities
  • HR Administration
    • Maintain accurate HRIS records and documentation.
    • Lead employee onboarding and offboarding to ensure a seamless experience.
    • Coordinate mandatory local training to keep staff compliant and informed.
    • Serve as a friendly point of contact for general HR queries.
    • Support engagement initiatives that make Bango a great place to work.
    • Contribute to key regional HR processes and projects with the HR team.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration
    • Manage country‑specific payroll on a bi‑monthly or monthly schedule, ensuring accurate input of benefits and related data.
    • Partner with benefits brokers and service providers to ensure correct reporting and administration of employee benefits.
  • Recruitment Support
    • Coordinate interviews with external recruitment partners.
    • Collaborate with the People Operations Lead to prepare onboarding documentation.
    • Create a positive, memorable onboarding experience for every new starter.
  • Employee Initiatives Support
    • Plan and support employee initiatives that drive engagement and create a fun workplace.
  • Facilities
    • Assist with office management and facilities across countries with or without physical office locations, including meeting or event support.
Essentials – Skills & Experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Great interpersonal skills for handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of another regional language (e.g., Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese) is a plus.
  • Understanding of local/regional labour laws is a plus.
  • Experience in HR within the tech industry is a plus.
  • Experience partnering with workers’ councils (where relevant) is helpful but not required.
  • Proficient use of HRIS systems, Excel, and office tools; Canva experience is a bonus.
  • Ability to learn HRIS, payroll systems, and similar HR applications quickly.
Qualifications / Education
  • Academic qualification in Human Resources or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous office‑based experience is preferred.
