The Role
We are seeking a multi-talented Vehicle Converter & Fleet Assistant to join our workshop team. This is a unique, hands-on role that sits at the intersection of craftsmanship and logistics. You will be responsible for helping build and maintain our premium fleet of splitter vans, ensuring every vehicle meets our high standards for safety, comfort, and tour-readiness. - Assisting in the full conversion process of standard vans into high-spec splitter vans (adding seating, bunks, entertainment systems, and storage).
- Performing basic carpentry and lining work (insulation, ply-lining, and floor installation).
- Installing and troubleshooting 12v electrical systems (lighting, USB points, and power inverters).
- Conducting minor mechanical checks and aesthetic repairs between rentals.
- Preparing vehicles for hire, ensuring they are spotlessly clean and fully stocked with necessary equipment.
- Conducting pre and post rental inspections to identify any damage or maintenance requirements.
- Moving vehicles between locations or to external mechanics/body shops as required.
- Managing inventory of conversion materials and workshop supplies.
- Assisting the Fleet Manager with administrative tasks and scheduling.
- Assisting in the day to day running of the company including meeting customers.
- Act as a point of contact for some customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Provide expert advice on van hire options, pricing, and availability to suit touring needs.
- Maintain a high standard of service to build long-term relationships with clients.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop and yard.
Requirements

- Technical Skills: Proficient with power tools and hand tools. Knowledge of 12v electrics is a significant plus.
- Driving License: A full, clean UK driving license is essential (must be over 25 for insurance purposes).
- Attention to Detail: A "perfectionist" mindset when it comes to finishing and upholstery.
- Flexibility: A proactive attitude and the ability to pivot between manual workshop tasks and logistical fleet duties.
- Passion: An interest in the music/touring industry is a bonus!
Competitive salary of £27,300. Manageable & flexible 35-hour work week. Opportunities to learn advanced vehicle conversion skills. A relaxed but professional working environment within the music industry.
