We are now looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to lead and grow a high‑performing regional sales team. This is a hands‑on leadership role leading from the front, winning new business, developing key accounts, and driving a culture of high performance across your region.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Lead, manage, coach and motivate a team of field‑based Business Development Managers
- Lead by example through active prospecting, customer visits, quotation development, negotiation and deal closure
- Drive regional new business growth, pipeline performance and KPI over‑achievement
- Develop strong relationships with larger regional and national customers
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of client site risk assessments and site audits
- Allocate and manage inbound enquiries, ensuring effective follow‑up and conversion
- Maintain high standards of CRM accuracy, reporting and sales discipline
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, proposing new initiatives and opportunities
- Represent Panda at regional networking events and industry forums
- Cross‑sell additional services including shredding, hazardous waste and national solutions
- Work closely with Sales Admin, Service and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers
- Participate in regular sales meetings, field visits and performance reviews
- Actively contribute ideas to improve sales performance, processes and regional results
- Plan diaries, prioritise workloads and manage sales activity effectively across the region

- A proven, successful sales professional within the waste and recycling industry, ready to step into a leadership role or further develop as a sales manager
- Naturally competitive, commercially driven and motivated by results and commission
- Confident coaching and mentoring others while maintaining your own personal sales performance
- Organised, resilient and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
