Reporting to: General Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week
Duties:
- Take full responsibility for the site in the absence of the General Manager and assist in the day-to-day operation of all aspects of the unit.
- Manage the team including Duty Managers, Supervisors and Customer Service Assistants, offering positive support, training and general guidance.
- Ensure the correct completion of business sheets on a daily and weekly basis.
- Serve customers, taking account of the principles of good customer service, remaining helpful and courteous at all times.
- Deal with bookings, customer queries, complaints (initial stage) either in person or via telephone and email.
- Work on all site departments as required (e.g., bowling reception, lanes, prize shop, food outlets, bars, pool bar).
- Promote the site's facilities, offers, membership schemes to potential new and existing customers.
- Assist on promotions, themed events, exhibitions, occasionally off-site.
- Ensure that all Bowling and Machine faults are reported correctly.
- Ensure that all transactions are dealt with correctly and any errors are reported to management.
- Ensure the correct handling of cash at all times as trained.
- Operate any of the site attractions as required and trained.
- Carry out replenishment tasks (e.g., refilling arcade machines, re-stocking bars, re-stocking the prize shop).
- Receive deliveries.
- Work with the General Manager and colleagues to identify opportunities to increase market share within the locality.
- Provide training and direction to other employees.
- Carry out employee team chats as required.
- Carry out stock takes as required.
- Carry out machine collections.
- Carry out staff appraisals.
- Conduct recruitment interviews.
- Complete employee rotas as instructed.
- Manage employee attendance via Rota Ready.
- Deal with poor timekeeping.
- Carry out disciplinary investigations.
- Carry out end of day banking and complete business sheets on Stocklink.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out all duties as trained.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures set out in the Operations Manual are followed at all times.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures set out in the Stocklink Site manual are carried out correctly at all times.
- Ensure that all Licensing legislation is enforced at all times.
- Ensure that all Food and Hygiene legislation is enforced at all times.
- Ensure that all Gambling legislation is enforced at all times.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation is enforced at all times.
- Ensure all paperwork you are responsible for is correctly completed.
- Ensure all visitors are dealt with correctly as trained.
- Ensure that all incidents/accidents are dealt with as set out in the incident reporting procedure.
- Ensure that the site is opened and closed correctly.
- Ensure that all monies are correctly handled and stored at all times.
- Ensure all back-office areas are secure at all times.
- Ensure that the floor rota is correctly implemented and followed.
- Ensure that all employees are wearing the correct uniform at the start of their shift.
- Ensure that the Bar and Kitchen cleaning rotas are completed to a high standard.
- Ensure that the machine cleaning is carried out to a high standard.
- Ensure that the ‘shift running’ checklist is followed and ticked off throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance at all times.
- Develop a good working relationship between colleagues and management.
- Ensure that the Under 25 policy is carried out.
- Ensure that all excluded customers are not granted entry.
- Operate within site budget and understand the P&Ls and how to investigate over/underspends.
- Ensure that all management carry out regular employee team meetings.
