Role Overview:

To work with the payroll team in helping to ensure that payroll is delivered accurately, compliantly and on time. You will be office based, 5 days a week, working in our Richmond Head office.

Main Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of the payment of staff salaries through the current payroll software for approximately 800 employees.
  • To process Starters & Leavers.
  • Ensuring all new employees are compliant with UK Border Agency requirements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll / personnel records for all employees
  • To process approved overtime payments, commission payments, expenses and any other authorised additional payments
  • Process, Monitor and calculate SMP, SSP and SPP
  • To ensure correct deductions from employees pay in respect of the company pension scheme
  • to ensure that monies from employees such as advances, overpayments, till shortages are suitable recovered.
  • Provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, taxation and National insurance.
  • To help produce all relevant end year reports e.g. P60’s
  • To complete various forms required be HMRC. Jobcentre Plus, Courts etc
  • To undertake other reasonable duties as may be directed by the Company.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Some proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Previous payroll experience desirable but not essential
