Bancroft’s School is seeking an experienced part‑time Gardener for our Grounds Department. The role supports a beautiful and eye‑catching environment for pupils and staff throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Maintain extensive gardens, flower beds, lawns, trees, hedges and sporting facilities at the main Woodford Green site.
- Complete occasional work at the sports ground, West Grove.
- Perform basic grounds maintenance, such as setting out sports equipment and maintaining sports pitches, with training provided if necessary.
- Adapt work to seasonal changes and prioritise tasks under guidance from the Grounds Manager and Operations Director.
- Participate in a flexible, hands‑on role that supports the school's needs 52 weeks a year.
Working Hours
22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week, 07:00–15:00 with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.
Remuneration and Benefits
Pro‑rated salary for 3 days a week: £18,780 – £19,380. Benefits include a competitive salary, and a commitment to supporting ongoing professional development for all staff.
