Join our Technical Accounting team within the CFO Division. Your role is to provide technical accounting support and advice for Santander businesses in the UK. Monitor IFRS and SEC reporting developments; assess impact on all Santander businesses in the UK and communicate to stakeholders. Liaise with other Finance areas on technical accounting aspects of IFRS implementations. Provide advice on products, services and corporate transactions and support preparation of annual, half‑yearly and quarterly financial reports for Santander UK Group Holdings plc and Santander UK plc. Draft technical disclosures for statutory reports and prepare IFRS and SEC disclosure checklists. Provide IFRS technical accounting advice, including detailed analyses of technical issues.
Required Experience and Skills
- Professional Experience: Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience in the UK public company reporting environment (Required).
- Hard Skills: Good IFRS technical accounting experience, including practical exposure to IFRS preparations and technical interpretations (Preferred). Experience in financial services and/or SEC requirements is desirable but not essential (Preferred).
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail (Required). Effective communication (Required). Problem‑solving (Required).
